Former Togo striker, Sheyi Adebayor has urged the Ghana Football Association to tap into the knowledge of the ex-Black stars greats ahead of the tournament.
Ghana and four other countries, Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco are Tunisia are the continent’s representatives at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and Adebayor has confidence in their qualities.
“We have Stephen Appiah here, we have old players that have been part of the World Cup. “We just have to candid with the FA to join hands with the old players because at the end of the day they have been through that tunnel already and they know what is inside.
“So they can share their experience with the young players, they can share their experience with those who have never been to the World Cup. The Black Stars went past West African rivals, Nigeria in a two leg tie to book their fourth World Cup slot in Qatar later in the year. The first leg tie ended goalless in Kumasi with the reverse fixture producing a 1-1 draw in Abuja for Ghana to progress on the away goal rule.
