The politicisation of every issue in this country is one of the major reasons why we are still where we are. We have blatantly refused to be objective on issues plaguing this country. We have covered ourselves with the political cloak and are refusing to address problems the way they ought to be dealt with. How can we progress as a nation if we are continually dwelling on such a tangent? It will be difficult.
The recent reply to a request from an aide to Togbe Afede requesting some information from the council of state leaves much to be desired. It has only gone to confirm the long-held notion of some people that the council should be scrapped. They are not being useful to the nation. It shows that they are biased. They can’t be objective in the advice they offer the president.
According to the reply, they told Togbe’s aide to go to Metro TV, a private entity for information on a state institution. That doesn’t make sense. How can you refer the person to Metro TV? It shows an ulterior motive was at play. We can’t develop as a country if we are behaving like this.
