Contrary to popular belief that African countries are chaotic and we fight with lions on a daily to survive, most African countries are very peaceful.
A very bad image has been created by the foreign media about Africa simply because Africans are mostly very reserved people and don’t like sharing their stories. The foreign media constantly portray Africa as a jungle or a warzone with 24/7 violence but this is nothing but a publicized fallacy.
Africa is a very harmonious place usually, it’s my conviction that if you have about $50000 and above, Africa will give you a taste of heaven. Yes, we struggle with bad economic development and bad governance but most of the world shares similar sentiments. Africa is not so far off, as they portray it to be. We have good schools, good roads, beautiful houses, and great medical facilities, and we are gradually catching up with technology. Everything you need to create a great vacation experience is in Africa. Of course, we have drastic issues but which of the world doesn’t? We are very close to nature, kind, and hospital to foreigners even more than ourselves.
The Global Peace Index (GPI) is a report produced by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP) which measures the relative position of nations’ and regions’ peacefulness and they released a list of the top 10 peaceful African countries.
