Do Not Joke With These 3 Diseases If You Are Pregnant

Being pregnant means you carry something that must-see light at all costs. The one who carries the thing’s life becomes exceptionally important although every life is. A person pregnant with an idea should ensure the idea sees light, the same as a woman pregnant with a baby; she has to make sure the baby sees light.

Although pregnant woman’s life is important, they are not naturally immune to diseases. We can even say that pregnant women experience a lot more than when they were not pregnant. During this period, their immune system’s resistance declines which may expose them to some diseases.

These diseases sometimes threaten the life of the mother and the unborn baby. In some cases, too, these diseases will not threaten the mother’s life but will harm the unborn baby leading to deformities, different syndromes, and mental health issues. Treat these three diseases immediately.

STIs

STIs such as gonorrhoea can harm the unborn baby. It is known to be one of the major causes of blindness among children. Unfortunately, most pregnant women, especially those who are being taken care of by traditional midwives may have the disease without knowing it.

Some STIs are asymptomatic in some genders. To detect them, you should go for a diagnosis. This is important as your decisions will impact the life of the unborn child. Gonorrhoea and some STIs are curable, do not allow them to harm your baby.

Anaemia

Anaemia refers to a blood condition in which there are too few red blood cells or the red blood cells are deficient in haemoglobin, resulting in poor health. Pregnant women having anaemia may be in danger, see a doctor immediately. Turkey berries work like magic.

Common causes include a lack of dietary iron, heavy blood loss, or the production of too few red blood cells due to disorders such as leukaemia.

HIV

You cannot cure HIV but pregnant women can protect their unborn children. Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) may help protect the unborn child. Do not sit idle, talk to your doctor, and ensure that your baby is safe. Your baby deserves better.

These are not the only diseases you should watch out for, several others may harm you or the baby. Do not joke with pre-and postnatal care.
