Black Stars Emerged Third In The Kirin Cup In Japan After They Thrashed Chile 3-1 On The Spot-kick

The Senior National Soccer Team, the Black Stars of Ghana came third in the Kirin Cup in Japan after thrashing the South American giant, Chile by 3-1 on the spot-kick.

The friendly clash between the two was regarded as crucial though it forms part of the preparation towards the mundial in Qatar 2022 for both teams.

The much anticipated clash saw both sides scoring nothing throughout the 90 minutes of open play.

Though the West African side(Black Stars) created chances which could have won them the third place prize but couldn’t materialized the opportunities that arrived.

The spot-kick saw Ghanaian youngsters showing their brilliant form as they netted all the three kicks.

The likes of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Kudus Mohammed and Jordan Ayew all were on target in the penalty.

The end saw Ghana emerging victors by defeating their counterparts by 3-1.

Plus, the Black Stars goal-keeper’s performance on the day was “wow” as he saved two crucial spot-kicks for the Stars.

In other news, Tunisia was crowned the winner as they walked past Japan by 3-0.

The Blue Samurai of Japan came second in their soil.
