Africans are very religious and superstitious people. Spirituality is ingrained in our culture. If we believe in something we commit to it wholeheartedly. However, as a continent that constantly cries on celestial beings and spiritual creations, it’s unfathomable that we remain one of the poorest continents in the world.
Africa has one of the poorest employment rates in the world, hence it’s very confusing why any African country or leadership would allow the sale of a factory to be turned into a Church. This was the sentiment of one social media using the name Kaunda Bongi. According to Kaunda, only black people would buy a factory and turn it into a church to pray for jobs. Ironic right? Lots of social media commentaries supported and agreed with Kaunda Bongi’s statement while a few people were offended because they believed that the social media user (Kaunda Bongi) was taking a dig at Christianity.
