The Ghana Education Service (GES) has commenced the collection of data on all known pre-tertiary level schools thus Kindergarten, Primary, JHS and SHS.
The Education Management Information System (EMIS) is one of Ghana’s main national datasets about education.
According to the GES, it is through the annual school census that the Ministry Of Education collects, analyses, and disseminates school-level data about all known pre-tertiary level schools (public and private) in the country.
The 2022 academic year edition will be done online with scheduled activities to be undertaken by various heads of schools.
For smooth running of this exercise, GES has grouped the annual census into 5 stages
