The Citi Business Festival continues this week with conversations on understanding the Ghana opportunity.
Despite being a leading destination for foreign investment in West Africa, Ghana is faced with challenges such as rising debt levels, a deteriorating business climate, among others.
It is against this background that the 2022 Citi Business Festival, in its third week, will bring the business community well-informed conversations and in-depth analysis of the Ghana pitch to both local and foreign investors.
The GIPC is Ghana’s main agency for attracting & promoting investment into the country, and it features prominently in the discussions.
The on-air radio series and virtual TV forum will examine, among other things; what is Ghana offering to investors? (both domestic & foreign?), What is Ghana’s most effective selling point? Which areas of the investment offer the best potential? How do Ghana’s macro fundamentals compare with peers across the continent? What role does the AfCFTA play in all of this?
There will be a live virtual forum on understanding the Ghana opportunity on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, on Citi TV.
The forum will see Yofi Grant, CEO of GIPC, David Ofosu-Dorte AB & David, Juliet Asante, CEO of the Ghana Film Authority and a representative from ABSA proffering solutions on how Ghana can be an attractive destination for both local and foreign investors, among others.
The entire month of June is dedicated to business on Citi TV and 97.3 Citi FM.
The Citi Business Festival is an extensive program of business events and on-air activities providing inspiration, business ideas, and information to persons who are starting, building, or growing their businesses.
The on-air series will air on the Citi Breakfast Show on 97.3 Citi FM every weekday.
