Haaland Will Be EPL Signing of The Season.

The journey of Erling Haaland is impressive and it doesn’t look to cool down anytime soon. Ever since he caught the world’s attention from Norway Youth team to Salzburg to Dortmund, Haaland keeps accelerating his statistics and performances. Now, his next stop is the English Premier League with Manchester City. Is the EPL ready for the coming storm?

Haaland came to the limelight when he scored 9 goals for Norway U20 against Honduras U20 in the 2019 U20 World Cup. He, then, lit his game up at Salzburg, scoring 16 goals in 14 matches during the 19/20 season. That same season, he excelled in his debut UCL campaign when he helped Salzburg and Dortmund with 10 goals in 8 games. 

Dortmund signed him in the 2020 January transfer window amidst interests from top European clubs. Even with that late entry, the prolific marksman announced immediately his presence in the Bundesliga.

Haaland netted 13 goals in 15 games. More impressively, he scored 27 goals in 28 matches in the following season. To prove his scoring ability, the Norwegian got 10 goals in 8 games again in his second UCL campaign. If that’s not remarkable, then we don’t know what is.

2021/22 season didn’t relate well with the player as injuries ruled him out for most games. This wasn’t even enough to stop him from giving hot performances. Out of 3 UCL matches, Haaland bagged 3 goals.

Also, he netted 22 goals in 24 games in the just ended Bundesliga season. The world has never seen a striker with so much quality that his goals tally almost matches his games played tally. 

Manchester City under Pep Guardiola has been very scary in the EPL. They always look unbeatable and score more goals when the chances present themselves. Erling Haaland joining this Stars-stacked City team will imply his statistics are only about to get better. His recent endeavor with the Norway national team proves the player is hot and ready to storm his new league.

From where we stand, and looking into statistics and team play, Erling Haaland is tipped to be the EPL signing of the season and it would be a very exciting journey. Bar any serious injury, Haaland could hit 25+ goals in his debut EPL season. All eyes on how he will fare in this EPL challenge.
