The Communication Director of the LGBTQ+ Rights Ghana, Abdul Wadud Mohammed, has sent a bold message to Sam George, the sponsor of the anti LGBTQ bill. This was in reaction to the order from Sam George to the Ghana Police Service and other city authorities to take down the signboards which has been erected on the road leading to the University of Ghana. Abdul Wadud dared Sam George to rather take them to court only if what they are doing is unconstitutional.
“A lot of Ghanaians are literate to read what is on the billboard and if there is anything wrong or illegal with what was written on the billboard then we are open for any legal action against as. I don’t know why they are threatening the MCEs and the police and giving them an ultimatum of 24 hours to pull down the signboards. If they think we’ve done something illegal they should take us to court because that is what we want”, he said on GhOne TV.
