Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has equalized his father’s goal record for the national team after the game against Japan today. The Kirin Cup tournament that was played today saw Jordan Ayew netting a goal which saw him level his father’s record of 19 goals in the national team. This was Jordan’s 19th goal for the Black Stars.
His father managed it in 73 appearances while Jordan is doing it in his 80th. Ghana will face Chile for the 3rd position on Tuesday and we could see Jordan surpassing his father’s goal record for the national team of Ghana. In the game, the Crystal Palace forward managed to give hope to Ghanaians in the 44th minute after a mistake from the Japanese defense saw a ball go into their net from a long-range strike from Jordan Ayew.
The Japanese quickly equalized and added two more goals in the second half to see them to the finals of the Kirin Cup Tournament.
