Former German International Goalkeeper and Borussia Dortmund Captain, Roman Weidenfeller, has insisted the Die Mannschaft team possess the quality to winning the FIFA World Cup in Qatar this year.
Wiedenfeller, a member of the Die Mannschaft squad who last won the World Cup in Brazil 2014 for the fourth time against Argentina with Mario Gotze scoring the winning goal, has lamented on the team’s readiness towards the mundial. “They are looking forward for the World Cup and great team now, they have to push themselves to work out.
They exited too early in previous ones but the last time before when we won the World Cup in Brazil maybe this year in Qatar, is possible to win the World Cup also”. Weidenfeller, acknowledged his former team, Borussia Dortmund’s competitiveness in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
“The gap is a little big too much to Bayern Munich and of course we want to win the championship and the bundesliga. It is what we’ll work very hard for next season”, he concluded.
