Metro TV journalist and board chair of Ghana Airport Company Limited seems to always have a bone to pick with anyone whose actions he sees as portraying the government in a negative light. He doesn’t see anything wrong with this current government. If someone else does, then he tends to have issues with you. The self-acclaimed king of touchscreen analysis always uses his program to castigate those who don’t agree with the government.
The paramount chief of the Asogli state who was the former president of the national house of chiefs refunded some monies paid to him as ex-gratia. The reasons for his refund are understandable. He noted the current economic conditions and also mentioned allowances and other benefits he received as reasons for refunding the money. This is a good thing. What is wrong with what Togbe Afede has done?
The government and party people have decided to attack the man for what he has done. Paul Adom Okyere is the lead critic. He made a host of allegations against Togbe which were refuted by the Asogli state. He accused Togbe of not attending council meetings and hence must refund not only the ex-gratia but also other benefits he took.
Why is Paul Adom Okyere like that? He should not forget that his paymasters will not be in power forever.
