Sam George – The Billboard Has Fall Frat

The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Hon. Sam Nartey George has commented that the LGBTQI+ billboard has fall flat. He saluted the authority for adhering to his request in the press conference he held today and their swift response.

In two separate post shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday, 9th June 2022, he wrote;

“We can get results from the authorities (NDC or NPP) if we unite and collectively demand the changes we desire. True power belongs to the people. The billboard has fall ‘frat‘. Power to our cultural sovereignty.”

The comments above follows his earlier post which he wrote; “information reaching me is that the obnoxious LGBTQI+ billboard has been removed this evening after their press engagement today. We salute the authorities for their swift response. “

On the morning of Thursday 9th June 2022, Sam George held a press conference about a large billboard promoting LGBTQ+ whiles the bill to criminalize or discriminalize it is yet to be approved by parliament. He asked for its removal. His comments is passed on the positive response from the authorities.

The MP for Ningo Prampram is a strong advocate against the acceptance of gay and lesbians marriage or same sex marriage in Ghana. He has been pushing for a new LGBT bill.

The bill, which seeks to criminalize LGBTQ+ identification and advocacy in Ghana has sparked several conversations on the freedom and rights of queer people in Ghana.
