Out of all the 13 goals he has scored, he chooses his most recent one against the Super Eagles of Nigeria to be his best as it secured a spot for Ghana at the 2022 World Cup. “The goal against Nigeria I will say is the most important goal in my career at the moment,” Partey said in an interview with Joy FM.
“It’s a goal that took Ghana to the World Cup so I feel happy, the whole team feels happy. The whole team feels happy and the country feels happy so t is a joy to be the one to score that goal,” he added.
Even though Nigeria had a penalty and scored, Thomas Partey’s goal was what sent Ghana to the World Cup after the breathtaking match between the West African Rivals.
