Sir John’s will is an indicator of the essence for public officials to declare assets

The viral will of Sir John has over the past weeks sent shivers down the spine of Ghanaian as to how an appointee could abuse authority to allegedly own portions of the acrimony reserve so much a property worth willing.

This is just one of the numerous atrocities the NPP government appointees and officials have being alleged to engage in, Milking the state and people dry.

Clearly, one can say the legal requirement of officials declaring assets before and after assuming office does not work and is just a sweet looking yet again paragraph in the 1992 constitution.

Its no wonder the looting and sharing of national resources is so lucrative that Forty-four year-old Charles Owusu, a former aide to the late Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, has expressed disgust in the private will of his late boss being discussed in public. Why?

Owusu who is named in Owusu Afriyie, aka Sir John’s will as an executor and beneficiary of his estate, said the circulation of Sir John’s will on social media is not only a sad development but also contrary to established Ghanaian customs and traditions. He suspects the whole exercise of leaking and circulating the will on social media aims to disgrace his former boss, who was once the General Secretary of the NPP

Rather than tackling the wrong done, he is much worried about the leakage which show him as a beneficiary.
