Every Bill That Comes Before The House Will Be Rejected Until Anti-Gay Bill Is Passed – Minority

The Minority members of Parliament have made it clear to the house that every Bill that will be brought up will be rejected until the controversial “Anti-Gay Bill” is successfully passed. The action of the Minority NDC MPs is a result of what they assume is an attempt to delay the passage of the “Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill” which is also known as the “Anti-Gay Bill” that is currently laid before the House.

Earlier today, the MP for Asawase Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak gave the caution on the floor of the Parliament. According to him, until the anti-gay bill is passed, even if the government introduces a Bill that seeks to bring water to his constituents, the Minority in Parliament will surely oppose it.

The Asawase MP disclosed that when a Bill is introduced before Parliament, it must not take the house more than three months to work on. He explained that ever since the anti-gay bill was introduced, several other Bills have come to Parliament and been passed successfully by the House.

Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak is currently suspecting that this is a deliberate attempt by some functionaries to not approve the Bill.
