We Will Lose If 2024 Election Was Decided On Corruption – Kennedy Agyapong Admits – VIDEO | Politics

NPP Flagbearer aspirant and Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyepong has admitted that the governing party would lose the 2024 elections if it was fought on the basis of the protection of the public purse.

The Flagbearer aspirant was responding to a question from US based medical doctor and 2008 Campaign Manager of the NPP Dr. Arthur Kennedy.

Dr. Arthur Kennedy referred to President Akufo-Addo’s promise at his 2017 inaugural address of “I shall protect the Public purse” and wondered “in 2024 if just like 2016 the election is decided on protecting the public purse and corruption…. Are we going to do well?”
The outspoken Medical doctor got a sharp straightforward response from the Assin Central legislator who answered, “We will lose”.

The MP’s response seemed to have concluded the matter as other panelists at the program where Dr. Kennedy asked the question offered no other response. In a video which has surfaced online, Mr. Arthur Kennedy referred to the Assin Central, former Local Government minister Alima Mahama and a deputy Speaker.

The event seems to have been one organized for NPP supporters. The NPP government is currently fighting off efforts by the NDC minority in Parliament to get them to account for billions of cedis spent during the COVID pandemic.

In the midst of this battle, a leaked recording has emerged in which the 2020 NPP Parliamentary aspirant for Sagnarigu alleges that hundreds of millions of COVID funds were shared among NPP executives and parliamentary aspirants in 2020.
