Six players who are expected to switch nationality in time to represent Ghana at the World Cup.

Ghana has seen a few players who were born in other countries but ended up playing for the Black stars. Kevin Prince Boateng, Adam Kwarasey, Kofi Kyereh, Okyere Wriedt and a few others.

There are still a good number of players who are of Ghanaian descent and are eligible to represent Ghana at this years world cup.

Stephan Ambrosius

A defender who plays for Hamburg, Ambrosius was born in Germany to Ghanaian parents. He is eligible to play for Ghana through his Ghanaian parents. He is a German youth international.

Tariq Lamptey

The right back who has represented England at the youth level has decided to switch and represent Ghana. The player is currently in the country and was present when Ghana defeated Madagascar at Cape Coast.

It has been reported that the process has been completed and now Tariq Lamptey will now be invited for the next Afcon Qualifiers.

Inaki and Nico Williams

The GFA for a long has been trying to get Inaki Williams to play for the Black Stars but to no avail. Progress has been made in that direction as the Athletic Bilbao striker is having a change of heart.

His younger brother, Nico is also considering the prospect of following suit. The siblings have represented the Spanish junior sides.

Eddie Nketiah

Born and bred in England, Arsenal forward Nketiah is also a player that is eligible to represent Ghana. He was the captain of the U-21 side of the Three Lions. Lack of senior call-ups has seen the young gunner turn his attention to his second nation.

Callum Hudson Odoi

The Chelsea winger had a terrible season due to injuries but is been put through his paces after recovering. He is expected to be fit for pre-season. He is one of the players Ghana can grab even though he has represented England’s junior sides.

If all these players are able to complete all procedures, Ghana will have quite a formidable side at the World Cup and next year’s Afcon.
