A few hours earlier, videos of the terrible incident went viral on social media, showing some of the victims, including women and children, lying lifeless in cold blood after the gunman fired sporadically at them.

In other news, the member of parliament representing the Ningo-Prampram constituency, Hon. Sam Nartey George has assured the members of the National Democratic Congress that the party is capable of assuming the governmental seat in the 2024 elections.
Speaking in an interview on the Delay Show with Deloris Frimpong Manso, the controversial MP stated that he is confident that the NDC will once again assume the presidential seat but the party needs to stay vigilant in the forthcoming elections in 2024.
Sam George stated that he is a realist, hence he wouldn’t say winning the elections is a done deal for the NDC because the ruling NPP government has a track record of stealing and rigging elections at polling stations.
“2024 is a very likely election for the NDC to win but I’m one person who is a realist, I wouldn’t say it is a done deal. If the NDC is not serious at the polling stations, the NPP doesn’t have any track record to break the eight”, he said.
“The only track record the NPP has is political stealing, electoral malfeasants, and rigging the elections. They have perfected the machinery of rigging since 2008 when they started trying it, they tried and succeeded in 2016 and they perfected it in 2020, if the NDC presumes they have already won, 2024 will just skip them”, he added.
