The host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Octhere has boldly reacted to Togbe Afede’s returning of ex-gratia money after serving on the council of state. Paul revealed during his submission that, it seeks the advisors of Togbe Afede didn’t advise him well.

The trending news in Ghana now has it that, Togbe Afede, a king in the Volta Region rejected an amount of GHC360,000 as ex-gratia for serving on the council of state.

Paul Adom Octhere while reacting to the issue on his program revealed that Togbe Afede doesn’t actually deserve any praise like people on social media are giving him. He revealed that Togbe Afede should have known that he will take ex-gratia after serving on the council of state.

“ If you read the write-up Togbe Afede brought out justifying why he didn’t collect the ex-gratia, he mentioned that he was surprised to get that money. Well, then it means his advisors didn’t advise him well because the money is supposed to be paid. Its in the constitution and it was not invented by Akufo-Addo. For me, if he didn’t want the ex-gratia then there was need for he to come to the council of state in the first place. It’s as simple as that. The framers of the constitution knew why they added that.” Paul Adom Octhere boldly revealed this on his show on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
