Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars have arrived safely in Tokyo, Japan ahead of the special Kirin 4-nation football tournament in the Asian country.
The Black Stars are participating in this invitational tourney as a prelude to the FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar in November and December.
The Kirin 4-nation tournament will also feature African giants Tunisia, Chile from South America as well as the hosts Japan with the competition scheduled to kick-off on Friday.
Ghana will take on the Japanese in the second game of the tournament after Chile and Tunisia had contested the opener.
According to the program released for the competition, the winners of these two matches will meet in the final as the nation’s continue with their preparations for the upcoming Mundial in Asia.
Ghana coach Otto Addo will also use this tournament to access the majority of his charges as he looks to present a very formidable squad at the Qater event.
The Black Stars have been paired with European giants Portugal, South American powerhouse Uruguay and Asian force South Korea in a tough group at the upcoming FIFA World Cup competition.
