Actor Prince David Osei has slammed the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the National Cathedral and the huge amount of money the state has invested into its commencement.
In a tweet we sighted on his handle, the actor who played a pivotal role in galvanising votes for the party in the build up to the 2020 elections said the government has lost its priorities which he finds utterly worrying.
His comment came after it was officially announced that the government of Ghana through the Finance Ministry has released ₵25 million as seed money for building the National Cathedral.
Commenting, Prince retorted, “Misplaced priorities, self-glory, greed, and insensitivity towards the plight of the citizenry. We can’t pay government workers, and staff, working tirelessly 24/7 yet we have GHc25,000,000 for a cathedral in this perilous time of our economy. So help us, God! I am sorry,” he said in a tweet.
