Italian-born Ghanaian Striker, Kelvin Yeboah opens doors to Ghanaian callup ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Genoa striker rejected a callup from the Black Stars in order to play for the Under 21 Italian national team. His uncle is the Ghanaian football legend, Anthony Yeboah. He was born in Ghana but has lived in Italy for the majority of his life.
Despite him playing for the Under 21 of Italy, he has not ruled out any chance to play for the Black Stars. He snubbed a callup during the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia. Speaking on why he chose to represent Italy over Ghana, he said that he felt more Italian hence that decision was easier for him. The striker is still eligible to play for the Black Stars and has opened doors to any callup.
