In other news, popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to the microblogging platform to lash out at Nigerian men for their misconception about a strong woman.
According to the socialite, the definition of a strong woman according to a Nigerian man is long-suffering, emotional abuse, and the ability to tolerate the bad habits of some men no matter the circumstances.
She lamented that the society has veered into this narrative, hence a strong woman will be hailed per the amount of suffering and pain she has been subjected to by her man until they deem it appropriate to give the woman peace of mind.
On the other hand, when women stand for themselves and refuse to bow down to the bad behaviors of some men, they are being labeled by society as wayward and opinionated.
However, she was slammed by a social media user who found her submissions unavailing. Toke Makinwa who refused to back down on her opinion responded by saying she would rather live a lonely life than put up with other people’s bad habits.
