The former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs reacts to June 4’s demonstration and the high demands in it.
The leaders of the demonstration namely; Oliver Barker Vormawor, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, Benjamin Darko, and Blessed Godsbrain Smart are demanding a platform on Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to address the Ghanaians and share their grievances.
They are also demanding licensed guns from the Ghana Police Service (GPS) and according to Allotey Jacobs, this type of demonstration has never happened in Ghana’s history.
Allotey Jacobs then said that the demonstrators’ action is like a coup d’etat because seeking a platform in the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to give the Ghanaians a message and share their grievances have never happened and if they continue, then they will intend to endanger the lives of their families.
Allotey Jacobs disclosed this on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in an interview with the host of Kokrokoo, Kwame Sefa Kayi on Peace FM.
