Prior to the 2016 general elections in the country( Ghana), the then candidate for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) made a vow to God and also to Ghanaians to build a Cathedral to glorify God and also to serve as an attraction site to people near and far.
The President, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, in order to fulfill the promise made to God and Ghanaians, an opportunity was given to many and well-meaning Ghanaians and foreigners to contribute to raise that build(Cathedral) in the country.

Shockingly, as Ghana is going through series of economic hardship, people(Ghanaians) are of the view that why can’t the president halt the building of the National Cathedral and channel those huge sums of money into other sectors to help ease the pressure.
Many, however, took to social media to criticize the NPP government as the committee in-charge of the collection of the monies for the construction of the National Cathedral serve the presidency to make available the “Seed Money” in a quantum of Gh25,000,000.
to begin the construction project.
Ghanaians abroad and home are asking the President, to be more caring by understanding the crisis the nation(Ghana) is experiencing and make right choices to help ease the day in and out increasing of fuel prices and goods and services.
