The Ghana premiere league authorities(GFA) came out with a ruling concerning a match fixing game between Ashanti Gold and Inter Allies football club. The ruling was that, both teams are to be demoted to the second division of the football league effective next season.
In the lower divisions of the South African football league, a match fixing scandal has erupted and the judgement is that both teams have been banned for life in the South African football. The match was between Matiyasi FC and Nsami Mighty Birds. The game ended in a 59-1 in favour of Matiyasi. The most shocking of it all was that, 41 out of the 59 goals scored was an own goal. Take note that Matiyasi was seeking a promotion into the higher division of the football league.
