STC Managing Director, Nana Akomea has hinted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) may have Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Trade Minister, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen on the same ticket to run for 2024 Presidential elections.
The Bawumia/Alan campaigns have become intensified after the NPP Regional delegates elections held over the weekend.
The Alan faction claims the Regional elections are tilted in favor of their candidate as they believe the a large number of the executives who won the elections are pro-Alan.
The Regional elections foreshadow the upcoming big contest between Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kyerematen following the party’s national delegates conference.
Speaking on Peace FM’s flagship programme “Kokrokoo”, Nana Akomea, who was a former Communications Director of the party and a Minister of Tourism, stated on record that there are ongoing discussions to merge Bawumia and Alan for greater good of the NPP.
He stated emphatically that the discussions are so far fruitful.
“Kwami I can tell you happily that I know some of these approaches are going on. Nobody has rejected it,” he said.
