A 37 years old man named Samuel Asamoah Frimpong in an interview reveals how his leg mysteriously got swollen after he went to a barbering shop to shave his hair. Samuel shares that two years ago, he went to a barbershop he has been shaving his hair all these years but when he got to the doorstep of the shop, he started feeling itchiness on one of his legs.
He even got some ointment at the barbershop and applied it on the leg. Samuel continued that he was relieved from the itchiness a little bit but was not able to walk after he finished shaving his hair. They called his brother and other friends to carry him to the brother’s house. The man stayed at that place till evening, but he noticed that his leg had started swollen.
He tried and went back home to inform his parents about what was happening to him, but the leg got bigger and started rotting as the days passed by. Samuel said his parents sent him to the hospital for treatment but the doctors told them that unless they amputate the leg to save his life. Due to financial problems, they were able to pay for the amount they were supposed to pay before the doctors will amputate his leg.
His parents then brought him back home and consult a fetish priest for help, the fetish priest remove some pins from the leg and applied herbal medicine on the leg. Samuel again said, the herbal treatment too did not help him but it even make his condition worse. One midnight, he fell on the affected leg and it got broken, he then started bleeding and was rushed back to the hospital for treatment.
Life became harder for him after he was discharged from the hospital. According to Samuel, he used to sell footwear with his uncle at the market but after this incident happened, he was not been able to go back to work again but only depends on his father to survive. His father too is a mechanic and doesn’t earn much from his work to feed the whole family. Samuel concluded that they are all facing challenges due to his condition.
