Lawyer and KPMG Professor in Accounting at the Fisher School of Accounting, University of Florida Stephen Kwaku Asare widely known as Kwaku Azar, has commented that he is confused about the notion of the IGP asking the British Ambassador to deal with matters concerning his country ( di wo Fie Asem) while we still look up to Britian and other nations for support.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, 31st May 2022, he wrote;
“What confused me is this notion of asking the Ambassador to “di wo fie asem” while we still “continue to look up to Britain among other countries for guidance.”
The other thing that confused me was how the usual suspects were looking for the comments of the usual suspects.
Look, either we want their guidance or we don’t want their guidance. Either you are usual suspect or you are a Yaanom.
Either you are policing or you are diplomating. If Jon Benjamin is free to talk about Ghanafuo then Harriet Thompson too must be free to do the same. “
His comments comes as a background to IGP Dampare’s letter to the British Ambassador not to interrupt in the internal affairs of Ghana. Earlier the Ambassador, H. Thompson commented on Oliver Baker’s arrest on 17th May 2022. She tweeted that Fixthecountry Conveynor Oliver Barker-Vormawor has been arrested again.
