Black Stars in high spirits ahead of the AFCON 2023 qualifier with Madagascar on Wednesday

Ghana is primed for a good start to the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON tournament in the Ivory Coast as they host Madagascar on Wednesday.

The Black Stars will begin their quest to secure qualification to next year’s event with a home game at the Cape Coast Stadium.

This Group E opener will kick-off at 7:00pm local time on Ghana’s western coast with the team in high spirits of kicking off the qualification campaign with a win.

Ghana’s preparations for this fixture has gone according to plan with interim coach Otto Addo taking the boys through their paces and, they’re hopeful of picking the three points against a relatively weaker opposition.

News coming from the camp in Cape Coast speaks of high moral in the team and, the boys are looking poised for the action under the lights of the Cape Coast Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Black Stars will be the odds on favourites to win this opening group fixture in a pool that also includes Angola and the Central African Republic (CAR), who play each other in the other group game tomorrow.

The Black Stars will head to the CAR for their next group fixture after the game with Madagascar where they will look to build on their expected win in tomorrow’s game.
