Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak believes Man City have pulled off a coup in getting the services of Erling Haaland from the business done so far. After fending off interest from rival teams, the prolific 21-year-old will join Manchester City for £51 million.
“We have, in Haaland, possibly the best number nine in the world at the proper age,” Khaldoon added. When you consider the next 10-15 years, we have invested in Haaland’s future strikers.
He’s a one-of-a-kind, extraordinarily gifted attacker who, I believe, the entire world has been watching. Every major club in the world reportedly wanted Haaland to come, and we are ecstatic that he selected Manchester City.
“It’s a fantastic decision for us.” We’re getting a truly exceptional player. He’ll fit right in with the group. ”
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has confirmed that the club intends to make more acquisitions this summer. The Premier League winners have already completed a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, and the acquisition of Argentina international Julian Alvarez will bolster their assault even more.
However, manager Pep Guardiola is still searching for additions in other areas, so this is unlikely to be the end of the transfer action ahead of next season.Â
