A former deputy minister of sports under the erstwhile John Mahama administration, Joseph Yamin has revealed very bold secrets about the huge amount of money chairman wontumi paid delegates before he could retain his position as NPPs Ashanti Regional Chairman.

Joseph Yamin is based in the Ashanti Region and a staunched NDC member. While speaking on Adom FM, Joeseph Yamin revealed that Chairman Wontumi paid over 4.5 million Ghana cedis (about 45 billion old cedis) to all the delegates before elections even started. He also added that the competitors of Wontumi also countered him but Chairman Wontumi topped up again.

” Everyone knows Ashanti Region is my region and I know everything that happens there and in the NPP. Chairman Wontumi won the elections as regional chairman because he paid more money than his competitors. He first shared about 4.5 million Ghana cedis among the delegates. His competitors also tried to pay something close to his and he topped up for the delegates. I can tell you, real money was spent there. Is this Ghana’s money or their own money??” Yamin boldly revealed this in an interview with Adom FM.
