Liverpool and Senegal attacker, Sadio Mané has decided to close his Liverpool chapter after last night’s UEFA Champions League final. It was widely rumored Mané wasn’t really interested in new contract extension negotiations with the English side.
The Senegalese captain has been quite respectful to the reds. Deciding to stall contract negotiations until the Champions League final was played.
Maybe loosing last night’s finale was the last straw to break the camel’s back. Liverpool lost the championship to Real Madrid by a sole goal from Vinicius Jnr.
Mané’s next destination is quite unclear but Bayern looks the strongest to capture the sterling forward with the imminent departures of both Lewandowski and Gnabry to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. Mané would be a very reliable replacement for either of them.
He is in this year’s Balon D’or conversation after winning the Afcon with Senegal, both the FA and League cups this season.
