Fixthecountry Conveynor Oliver Barker-Vormawor has asserted that, no revolution will happen in Ghana. He believes that any one who still harbor the idea that Ghanaians may rise up against oppression in some days to come must be smoking high grade hashish.
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, May 29th 2022, Oliver wrote;
“Anybody who harbours any ideas or feelings that Ghanaians will some day rise up against their oppression must be smoking some high grade hashish.
If a whole community can be bombed and razed to the ground, yet the people are sleeping in tents till today. And you say what?
Massa no revolution bia will happen. Drop your beret and go and find some palmwine and drink.”
The comments of Oliver Barker comes as a background to the explosion that occured in Appiatse, a mining community between Bogoso and Bawdie in the Western Region.
On January 20, this year, a mining vehicle carrying explosive material collided with a motorcycle resulting in the explosion that ravaged the entire community, leaving 13 people dead and many others severely injured.
Although support funds has been raised to help re -build their homes in Appiatse, Oliver Barker believes that it has delayed.
The Fixthecountry Conveynor has been advocating for the youth to bring revolution in Ghana to impact the live of people positively but it seems Oliver has lost hope.
