Despite the good works of Ghana anti robbery unit from the Ghana Police Service, armed robbers are not even scared. It is very sad to sometimes witness armed robbers exchanging bullets with police officers. Armed robbers strike again and an eyewitness drops the inside story from the Eastern Region of Ghana.
According to the eyewitness, the armed robbers disguised themselves as Muslims and they put on the long attire which is mostly used by the male muslims. However, they are not muslims but they used that strategy to complete their robbery mission.
” I was selling at the road side and I saw the men dressed like muslims. They even bought water from the nearby shop to drink. At exactly 2:00pm, they blocked the road and I rushed into the room and locked the door.
They chased me and demanded I should open the gate, but I did not open the door. They requested for money else they will enter and kill me. I open the window and gave them 1 million Ghana Cedis. The armed robbers took the 1 million Ghana Cedis and they kill our security man. They killed him after taking the money.
The requested I should give them the gold. But I told them they some men have come for the gold so I have no gold with me in the room. We are now living in fear at Assamang Tamfoe in the Eastern Region as a result of armed robbery attacks.
The painful aspect of the story is that, they took the 1 million Ghana Cedis and they kill him (Our Security officer)”. – Eyewitness narrate to UTV Reporter.
The Police officers have started with the necessary investigations to arrest the armed robbers for commiting such a heinous crime. Aside the death of the security officer, the armed robbers killed another worker with gun bullet.
