Member of Parliament for the people of Effutu in the Central Region of Ghana, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin is a member of the Grand Lodge of Free Masons.
He revealed this sometime ago on Starr Chat with media personality Bola Ray on Accra based Starr FM.
However a rare photo of the legislator in his regalia as a Masonry has popped out on social media.
The Grand Lodge of Freemasonry is believed to be a network of powerful and influential in the global sphere. This includes many Ghanaian personalities whose names have popped up.
A Twitter user with the handle @AF3NYO shared a photo of the MP with the caption “I never knew Hon. Afenyo Markins is a member of the Grand Lodge of Free Masons!!!

From the reactions below, some believe you can’t be a Catholic and join the Freemason. Some also believe it’s a secret society who perform rituals with blood, whiles others believe it’s a networking society which helps people to achieve their goals and guide them through life.
Some years ago, it was reported of Former President J.A Kufour and Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II attending the Freemason meeting in London, with Prez Kuffour being appointed Senior Grand Warden of UK Freemason Lodge.
