On the ‘TV3 The Keypoints’ show, the hostess Dzifa Bampoe said that it seems Adwoa Sarfo has not been treated fairly due to the fact that she might have justifiably requested for permission to be away from the country to take care of health issues of her son.
Lawyer Amaliba said that the legislator has been away for about eight months and she can resign from her position as Member of Parliament or Minister .
On the other hand , Mr. Kwame Jantuah asked why Adwoa would still be holding positions when she has not picked calls of her party members when she was needed . ” Where is your service” Mr. Jantuah asked . Mr. Jantuah explained that even though Adwoa has done well for her constituency in the past , there are still development works that are required to be done for the people of Dome Kwabenya.
The hostess Dzifa Bampoe in her response said that she has not heard the people of Dome Kwabenya complaining about the absence of Adwoa Sarfo .
The hostess also mentioned that Adwoa Sarfo has not explained on Joynews that she has not been served any notice to appear before the Privileges Committee but Lawyer Appiah Kubi disagreed on the basis that onus lie on Adwoa to defend herself even though there is an active Minister of State in Adwoa’s Ministry.
Dzifa Bampoe also asked if the critics of Adwoa should not be compassionate due to the person involved but Mr. Kwame Jantuah added that the President of Ghana should clarify issues with Adwoa Sarfo’s absence because the people of Ghana elected him to serve in the interest of ordinary Ghanaians and so can not act with his own prerogative. In fact, Dzifa Bampoe’s stance on the Adwoa Sarfo matter seems a bit confusing due to how she makes defensive about Adwoa Sarfo. Is she doing the right thing or she is overly bias ?
