Popular Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni has lamented on the state of democracy of Ghana and how things aren’t going well for Ghana in his expectation. He also asserted that he sometimes disagree with the Fixthecountry Conveynor, Oliver Barker-Vormawor but he likes his devotion to his beliefs. .
In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, 27th May 2022 he wrote;
“I sometimes disagree with this man. But I like his devotion to his beliefs. We need a lot of people to treat this rotten system with the disdain that it deserves. A system that caters to the insatiable needs of a greedy few while a majority of the people live in perpetual hopelessness doesn’t deserve our respect.
This is not democracy. This mess is not sustainable.
If things were good as they want you to believe, they wouldn’t be stealing from you to educate their children abroad. How many ministers of DCEs or CEOs have any of their children in a public basic school?
They wouldn’t be seeking treatment abroad if they had any trust in the hospitals they build here. They wouldn’t be buying houses abroad if they considered here secure enough for their investment. If they had any trust in the system they would stay here.
We need to get serious. Young people should not sell their souls for pittance. You deserve better. Ghana has enough to give you a decent life.”
