Accra Flood: Could The Government Adopt This Strategy ln Preventing Floods Happening In The Country

Flooding in Accra has become one of the headache in the country whenever there is a heavy downpour. In a recent news that took over the internet was a flooding that happened in almost half of the capital city, Accra. Well many people were blaming the government but the issue has to do with both parties that is the government and Ghanaians. The citizens are to change their attitude towards the way we do things when it comes to the way we dump our refuse. Because most people normally dump refuse used in their various houses into gutters that serve as a passage for water flow during rainy season. The refuse dumped could block the water ways leading to flooding happening in the country.

Though the government could be responsible to some extent for the floods happening in the country because some of the gutters were not made as expected to be. Some gutters are too small to allow water to flow through whenever there is a heavy downpour. According to a viral pictures reaching our front desk has a simply made metal that could be used to prevent refuse from entering gutters. Well the metals were not made in Ghana but it seems could be a possible way out to stop the floods happening now and causing a lot of fear in the country. MartinezTV would like to suggest to the government to consider this as a way to handle the flooding issues happening in the country.

Could the government adopt this as a strategy to prevent flooding happening in the country that is causing fear in most Ghanaians?
