Anybody Who Runs Without Baton Is Mad; That’s Why I Don’t Talk These Days- Rev. Martey Reply Critics.

Former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Right Reverend Professor Martey says that, he is no longer holding the baton as the Head of the Presbyterian Church that’s why he don’t talk publicly these days. He gave this reply to his critics who always complain that he has stop talking on National issues.

Prof. Mantey further tailored his explanation with a scenario that, all 4×4 athletes run on the field if he or she is holding a baton. That means anybody who runs in a 4×4 relay without a baton is mad.

He threw more light that, the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana allows a sitting Moderator to speak in the name of the church. The sitting Moderator holds the baton and can speak for the church.

He also added that, notwithstanding, he has adopted another method of communicating to those in authority without necessarily coming public. He does that through text messages and it has been yielding positive results.
