Parts of Ghana, especially Accra, is known for flooding whenever there is heavy downpour for several hours or minutes. This sometimes leads to massive destruction of properties.
Many revered personalities have lambasted governments, blamed and raised concerns as to what they should do to reduce such disasters. In the light of this, the Community Organizer at the Fixthecountry movement, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has created a lot of controversies amongst Ghanaians across all social media platforms.
In his recent Facebook post, dated on the 22nd of May, 2022, Oliver Barker-Vormawor directed the cause of flooding to God. He said;
“If God wants us to build an Ark for Accra, he should just say it. We are ready to do that. Because all this flooding is his fault”.
In as much as God is immortal and the creator of the universe, it is our duty to protect our environment. Conversely, Oliver’s post has generated a lot of reactions.
