Kennedy Agyapong has been taken up the political ladder by his fans or supporters and he seems to be having a good time with these recommendations and supports. Kennedy as I stated earlier has spoken about his no-presidential election involvement but the tables are turning. Earlier this week, there were several issues about which candidates will be running for presidency in the upcoming elections for the new patriotic party. That seems to be no problem anymore since about three potential candidates have had their names in the charts. The current Vice President, His excellency Bawumiah, Alan Kyeremanteng, the minister for trade and Kennedy Agyapong are all alleged to be candidates.
From some statistics, it has been deduced that it will not be an easy battle for Kennedy which I might have stated earlier in my previous posts. The Npp’s presidential race has become one of the most interesting races to witness looking at the possible contesters who have emerged out of the blue. The least expected ones and those who have eyed the seat for as long as we can remember and don’t seem ready to give up are all involved this time.
The major question which has been persistent and is circulating among members of the party and its supporters as well as non-Npp spectators is how the Npp will manage to pull this off looking at how influential and powerful these candidates are. We have seen in most elections that some candidates come up with rumors of being contesters but throw their weights behind others on the d-day. Kennedy is possibly going to do a similar thing from the little information we have gathered and this might be a good news for whoever wins Kennedy to his side if he decides to do this. Alan did this for Nana Addo during the primaries and many people assume it is his time and might be allowed to shine.
