“We Didn’t Deserve to Lose Against Hearts of Oak” -Ex-Black Stars Midfielder

Hearts of Oak managed 1-0 win over premier league new boys, Bibiani Gold Stars in Accra to keep their top four finish alive.

The Phobians paraded a depleted side in the match day 19 fixture having had 19 players falling sick during the week. Ex-Ghana midfielder and Gold Stars head coach, Michael Osei believes that his side played better and did not deserve to lose.

“It’s a game that we don’t have to lose because physically we were ahead of Hearts of Oak. “I mean first 15 minutes it was a balanced game but after the first half, I think we were ahead of them, putting a lot pressure on them but we couldn’t take the chances, we couldn’t score. “It’s very painful to lose such a game,” Michael Osei told StarTimes.

“I’m disappointed because attacking wise, we were better than Hearts of Oak we were able to put a lot of pressure and you can see that physically they were tired because of the problems, with their sickness and so on you can see that they couldn’t cope with us. “That’s football, I have to accept it and then move on make sure that we correct our mistake and win the next home match.” Michael Osei added.
