Readers can recall that the host of the show, Captain Smart vented his spleen yesterday on how the government keeps increasing debts to the extent that the current NPP government has borrowed more than any government in the history of Ghana. He bluntly stated that he does not know why the government would push for the ‘Agyapa deal’ just because of 500million United States Dollars. In fact, readers can recall how Captain Smart said he can provide that amount for the country to halt the Agyapa deal because the benefits of the deal were not very significant as compared to what would be lost.
This morning, Captain Smart on his Onua Maakye show has expressed his disappointment at how the economy has been managed and he requested that some ministers must be blamed for the issues the Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo is currently facing. Captain Smart revealed on his show that, despite the fact that he does not have a University degree, he was taught strategic security communication and he applies this knowledge practically.
He expressed his dissatisfaction with some ministers for their non -performance. Captain Smart said that the minister of Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto must be sacked if he is not willing to change his strategy toward improving the availability of food in the country. Captain Smart said that, although Dr. Akoto has several qualifications, he is yet to be impressed with his performance and he encouraged him to improve his performance for the betterment of the good people of Ghana.
He further encouraged the Agric minister to stop importing carrots, rice, and other agricultural products. Captain Smart ranted vehemently on the fact that the planting for food and jobs should be intensified by the Agric Minister to push the nation forward. He further praised Mc Dan for his efforts in supporting economic development and asked the government to support him to end the importation of salt from Brazil.
