Some Ghanaian players who are not in the Black Stars at the moment have been marvelous when you check their performance for their clubs. It is likely that these players may receive a call-up to play in the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers even though they didn’t receive a call-up to play in the AFCON and other crucial recent games.
The 2023 AFCON Qualifiers will be starting very soon with our first game being against Madagascar at the Cape Coast sports stadium on 1st June. The squad list is yet to be out.
Emmanuel Gyasi is one player we should look out for. He plays for Spezia in Italy and his performance has been good so far. He is a striker. He played in the Black Stars 2021 AFCON Qualifiers and is yet to receive another callup. It is likely he would receive another callup.
Next on the list is Benjamin Tetteh. He is only 24 years and plays Yeni Malatyaspor. He played in the World Cup Qualifiers game against Zimbabwe. He has made 23 appearances for his club and has scored 8 goals giving 4 assists. He is also likely to receive another callup.
Bernard Tekpetey has been wonderful for his club his season. He played in the 2017 African Cup of Nations. Looking at his performance this season for Ludogorets Razgrad he is expected to receive a callup to the national team.
These are some Ghanaian players with good performances and deserve another callup.
