Philadelphia Union will be looking to finally get back on winning ways on Wednesday evening when they host strugglers Inter Miami at Subaru Park.
Union failed to hold on to the lead in what ended as a 1-1 draw at home against New York Red Bulls on Saturday evening.
They got the breakthrough from top scorer Daniel Gazdag, his sixth goal of the 2022 MLS campaign, and went on to have an extra man on the pitch after Dylan Nealis’ red card.
Nevertheless, Phila still conceded the equalizer 25 minutes from time to extend their winless thread to six consecutive outings in all competitions.
The Union, however, drew in four of their previous five MLS matches and are still level on points with Montreal at the top of the Eastern Conference standings despite the mentioned winless run.
The clash against Inter Miami provides the hosts a great chance to bounce back knowing that the visitors have been one of the worst teams in the entire division after eleven rounds.
Phil Neville’s men are just one point above the last-placed team on the East, Chicago Fire. They will travel to Subaru Park having claimed only one point in the previous three league outings.
