A man by the name of Akwasi from Asante-Akyem in an exclusive interview with Sompa TV narrates what he has been through after he went to his cocoa farm with his wife. According to the man, he got land in their hometown and started his cocoa and palm trees farm. Two years later, the woman who gave the land to him died.
After her funeral rites, her son came to tell Akwasi that they will share any money he gets from the farm products, the man agreed to his request. One day he went to the farm with his wife as they usually do but an ant bite his foot whilst working at the farm. He started feeling pains in his leg so he came home with his wife. The man said the pains he was experiencing in his leg became severe and it started swelling, Akwasi again said he went unconscious at that moment and was quickly sent to the hospital.
He woke up and found himself at the hospital but water started coming out of his leg, he was then transferred to another hospital for further treatment. He went through a series of examinations, the doctors found out that he was bitten by a snake but not ant. Akwasi also said he was admitted to the hospital but his condition became worse as the days passed. The doctors then decided to operation on the leg to save his life.
Akwasi spent 4 months in the hospital before he was discharged, the man and his children were happy to see him back at home. A few days later, the guy he used to share the money he got from his farm products came to inform him that he wants to give the cocoa farm to another person and collect GHC5,000 for 8 years before he will get it back. Akwasi did not agree with him because he worked hard on that farm, he then told the guy that he will rather sell the whole farm.
The guy accepted his decision and even told him that he will buy it. They all came into agreement and the guy gave him only GHC500 and promised to bring him the rest of the money. Akwasi make it known that he has been going for a check up at hospital every month. He has spent all the money he got from the guy, he then tried to call him for the rest of the money but he always postponed it, he needs the money for his treatment, he cannot also go to the farm to pick anything from it again because the guy has bought it.
