Albert Donkor who was a shoe seller was allegedly picked up by some officers of the Ghana Police Service and shot to death in the Bush. This happened after he allegedly identified a Police man during an armed robbery attack at Nkoranza.
The Bono East Regional Minister and the Bono East Regioal Police commander has reportedly apologised to the family of the deceased and the youth of Nkoranza to exercise patience as they investigate the case.
According to the JUSTICE FOR ALBERT DONKOR GROUP, The late Albert reportedly had a conversation with his best friend about what he saw during the armed robbery. He told him about how he was shocked to see a Police man in the midst of the armed robbers. After the chat, the news went viral in the Nkoranza township over Albert’s encounter with the armed robbers.
Few days after the news went viral, some Police officers from the Nkoranza police station allegedly picked him up for questioning. They allegedly accused him of disgracing the Ghana Police Service with armed robbery tag.
After his arrest, Albert Donkor’s mother reportedly went to the Police station to give him food and facilitate his bail. The old woman was allegedly told that Albert has been transferred to the Regional Headquarters at Techiman. As a good mother, the old woman followed up to Techiman only to be told that nobody has been brought there from Nkoranza.
Few days later, the dead body of Albert Donkor was seen in the Bush with bullet wounds. The angry Nkoranza youth took to the streets and attacked the Police station. That was when the Regional Minister and Police commander advised them to exercise patience as they investigate the case.
The family is seeking justice from IGP DAMPARE and his men in authority. You can also share to help the campaign.
